    The Authority is suspending indefinitely ALL deliveries of acceptable Curbside Recyclable Commodities and ALL OCC ( Corrugated Containers) generated OUT OF COUNTY/OUT OF STATE.
    The Authority will ONLY accept material from Municipalities in which the Authority has Inter-Municipal Agreements with.

    The Authority will suspend all deliveries into the Co-Composting Facility as it relates to OUT OF COUNTY / OUT OF STATE generated BRUSH, WOOD CHIPS & PALLETS.

    Brush & Wood Chips generated/declared IN COUNTY will be accepted at the West Nyack facility.
    ONLY Wood Chips generated/declared IN COUNTY will be accepted at the Hillburn facility.
    There is NO CHARGE for IN COUNTY Wood Chips delivered to the Co-Compost Facility.

    Even recyclable materials, such as plastic and other paper products, can act as contaminants if they are disposed of in the wrong recycling container.
  • 2020 Paper Shredding Events
    Due to concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and in conjunction with The Town of Ramapo, The Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority has cancelled our first 2020 Paper Shredding Event scheduled for this Sunday March 22nd. The event was to be held at Spook Rock Pool, 171 Spook Rock Road Suffern, NY 10901 from 8am – 12noon. At this time, we do not have a firm date for the event to be rescheduled. We will be announcing the new date on all of our social media platforms and website www.rocklandrecycles.com so please stay tuned. The next anticipated Paper Shredding Event will be on April 25th at Germonds Park, 165 Germonds Road West Nyack.

    Due to concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak The Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority has cancelled our Weekend Collection Event scheduled for Sunday April 5th at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
